10 Smart Tips Para Hindi Ma-Scam sa Online Shopping

Ang dami naglipanang online scams ngayon, 'di ba? Nakakatakot na minsan mag-checkout kasi baka mamaya, nakabayad ka na pero wala ring dumating na package.  

Para hindi mabiktima ng scams or fly by night online shops, narito ang ilang practical tips para maprotektahan ang sarili bago mag online shopping: 

Suriin ang Website URL 

Check mo muna kung tama ang website address. Legit stores usually have "https://" (hindi lang "http://") at may lock icon sa address bar. Kung may maliit na pagkakaiba sa spelling (halimbawa, "lazuda" instead of "lazada"), red flag 'yan! 

Too Good To Be True? Isip-isip! 

80% discount sa branded items? Brand new iPhone for 5k? Kung sobrang mura compared sa normal price, mag-isip-isip ka muna. Ang scammers kadalasan gumagamit ng irresistible deals para ma-hook ka. 

Check Online Platforms 

Ang normal na legit stores may social media accounts with regular posts, and customer interactions, at hindi lang created last month. Check mo din ang comments section kung may engagement - kung puro generic comments lang, medyo sketchy 'yan. 

Reviews are Your BFFs 

Hanap ka ng authentic reviews from real customers. Check mo rin sa Google kung may complaints o kung maayos ba ang products and customer service. May mga sites din tulad ng Reddit at forums na pwede mong i-search kung ano ang mga experience ang ibang shoppers o mga naging customer ng store na balak mong pagbilhan. 

Contact Details, Complete Ba? 

Ang legit stores hindi nawawalan complete contact information - physical address, working phone number, at business email. 

Secure Payment Methods Lang 

Gumamit ng credit cards (mas protected) or COD (Cash on Delivery) kung first time mo sa isang online store. Iwasan ang direct bank transfers at GCash/PayMaya kung hindi ka pa familiar sa seller para iwas scam. 

Suriin ang Product Photos 

Kung screenshots lang from other sites ang product photos or mukhang pixelated, iwasan na. Legit stores invest in quality images sa product line-up nila. 

Verify Official Brand Pages 

Kung may nakita kang "official store" ng isang brand, i-check sa official website ng brand na ito kung listed sila as authorized retailer. 

Check the Policies 

Check the return/refund policy. Kung wala silang maayos policies o kaya naman, komplikado ang proseso, baka mahirapan kang mag-follow up kung may concern ka sa product or service na binili mo. 

Trust Your Gut Feel 

Kung feeling mo may something fishy, walk away, at hanap na ng ibang stores. Better safe than sorry!
